This event aims to imagine conversations and policies reflective of individuals struggling with mental conditions. Workshop speakers will present on diverse contours of lived experiences and the lack of equity in the mental health intersectionality gap, acknowledging disability and inclusion policies that only further abandon or de-norms these special needs. Civil unrest throughout our world coupled with the mismanagement of COVID-19 created twin pandemics for marginalized people. Since we know that trauma has very real consequences for physical health, the United Nations can begin to intertwine the physical and mental aspects of wellness.
