Join the National Federation of the Blind Jacksonville Chapter as they work to raise awareness of issues faced by individuals who are Blind or Visually Impaired, empower those facing Vision Loss to gain independence in their lives, and advocate to remove barriers for individuals who are Blind and Visually Impaired.

The ILRC is pleased to offer a free disability sensitivity training and volunteer orientation to the Northeast Florida Community. At this training, you will learn about:

• People First Language
• The Americans with Disabilities Act
• Disability Etiquette
• Strategies for Inclusion
• Overcoming Stigmas: Facts and Fiction 
• Resources Available through Local Agencies
• & Other Best Practices

This volunteer orientation is one hour in length and each participant will receive with a certificate of completion.
