What is Naloxone?”- Naloxone/Narcan in an opioid inhibitor. It is not a drug and poses no threat to anyone. It blocks the opioid receptors in the brain in the case of an opioid overdose. This will allow time for EMT’s to intervene.
“Why would I need Narcan?”- Even if you have been lucky enough to not have been affected by the current opioid crisis, in reality you will. Fentanyl has now taken over and is causing most overdoses and deaths. This is not from the pharmacy. This is an illicit drug made in labs in China and Mexico that is being laced in fake pressed xanax, percocet and roxys. As well as, Heroin, Cocaine, MDMA, Meth, and Marijuana.
If you have a loved one who currently suffers from addiction or a curious teenager, I strongly urge you to come and arm yourself with the only thing that will keep them alive if Fentanyl finds its way to them.
There will be a one hour presentation explaining how to use the antidote. Please RSVP to or 423-920-7185, so we will have a kit for everyone.
Free Hot Dogs served at 12:30 for those who RSVP
Hosted by Caleb’s Song and Fentanyl Kills in memory of Caleb Smythia Kits and training provided by Sevier County C.A.R.E.S. Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist Marissa Valentine

In the event that more than 50 people RSVP we will move the event to Life Spring Community church.
