The Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force 9th Annual 5K Walk for Awareness and Suicide Prevention will be a virtual walk. We want to make sure all participants stay safe while supporting this cause. We are asking you to walk wherever you feel comfortable, whether that is in your local downtown, forest preserve, neighborhood or even on your treadmill! We will be hosting a Facebook Live event on Saturday September 25, 2021, with a small group of task force members starting at 9:00 am! We would love for you to join us online for the walk during this live event however, please feel free to walk when is best for you! We also request you take as many videos and photos and share them with us, so we can share with Lake County that, We Are All In This Together!
Covid-19 Prevention Recommendations:
• Wear masks if not vaccinanated
Although we will all miss being together and the excitement and energy the 5K always brings, we know that you all will bring that energy and awareness to your local area, across Lake County and further! Together we can educate and support ourselves, loved ones, the community and fight to end the STIGMA!

This registration fee includes an event t-shirt and resource fair bag, with local resources from throughout Lake County. If you are unable to walk or would like to donate to the event, there will be a donation ticket you may purchase. We will be hosting a t-shirt event on Saturday September 18th from 9a-1p at Lake County Health Department, 3010 Grand Ave, Waukegan IL, for you to drive thru and pick up your walk shirts and resource bags.
