This conference will be a hands-on conference for our 127 Ordinary Members of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD), the 127 national associations of deaf people who make up our membership. Each Ordinary Member will be eligible to send six representatives to this conference.
The WFD will work closely with a team of presenter and workshop arrangers to focus on major issues in implementing successful inclusive education in national sign languages for every deaf learner.
The conference will have keynote speakers, panels with Ordinary Members sharing best practices, hands-on applied workshops, and important updates from the WFD on new breakthroughs in international work in this area. The final day of the conference will open with regional meeting to draft our next steps in achieving true inclusive multilingual education for all deaf learners. The WFD Youth Section will have their own meeting with deaf youth on this day, thus we strongly encourage each Ordinary Member delegation to have representatives from youth, and Youth Ordinary Members, in their delegation.
