The DASCH Foundation is pleased to honour Mr. Dave Richardson, co-founder of the Stigma-Free Society, as the recipient of the 2021 DASCH Recognition Award. This award is presented to an individual or organization making significant contributions to the well-being of children, youth, and adults with intellectual disabilities provincially, nationally, and globally. We are also thrilled to be celebrating Michael Bergman, a person whom DASCH supports, as the 2021 Merit Award recipient in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments and perseverance.
Proceeds from this year’s gala will be used to support DASCHWorks, an innovative training program, designed to develop practical skills that will lead to meaningful employment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The DASCHWorks program will help secure successful, long-term employment that will create inclusion and engagement within our community and will build confidence, self-esteem and greater life satisfaction for people in Manitoba with an intellectual disability.
The evening will consist of a 3-course meal from 529 Wellington Steakhouse, an online 50/50, silent and live auctions, speeches from our honourees and an exclusive performance from Rainbow Stage.
As part of our virtual event each household will receive a curated Possibilities Gala Box which includes: goodies, wine from Jones & Co., decorations, and a link to watch an hour-long event hosted by local radio hosts Karly & Drew from KiSS 102.3.
A new "Tune In" ticket is available for those who would like to view the event without a dinner and giftbox.
