We will discuss the differences between special education and a 504 plan of accommodations.

About this Event

The group will discuss the basic principles of special education and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) covers eligible children from birth to 21 years of age. Section 504 applies to individuals of all ages identified as having a disability that negatively impacts a life activity. It is important to understand the difference to advocate effectively.
