Sara Murphy, Director of TransCen's WorkLink program will provide a full day training on Customized Employment and employer engagement. Customized Employment is an effective strategy for assisting individuals with significant disabilities achieve integrated, direct hire employment. Participants will leave with field-tested approaches and tools for successfully presenting candidates and negotiating jobs with employers.

Participants will learn:

• To target employment opportunities using a job seeker profile
• To approach employers and assess business needs thorough an informational interview process
• To negotiate positions, market the concept of Customized Employment and present candidates with disabilities in a value-adding way.
