(Canal building is on Library road. Parking Lot #1 on Library Road is few meters before the building. Parking Lot #2 is behind the building on Campus Avenue. R4 is right after the building (available for visitors after 5pm).

Join us on Thursday, May 18 2017 and mark the sixth Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) access/inclusion and people with different disabilities.

Adrian Chan, professor and Chair READ Initiative (Research, Education, Accessibility, and Design) at Carleton University will share with us a new program at Carleton.   

We will have the opportunity to listen to the Federal minister of Sports and People with Disabilities, the Hounorable Carla Qualtrough, and the Associate Deputy Minister, Yazmine Laroche, tell us about the ongoing government efforts in terms of accessibility and inclusion of persons with disabilities. 

David MacDonald, president of CanAdapt and is in his 15th year with the WCAG Working group, will tell us about the upcoming updates to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
