One of the most difficult considerations in special education is identifying the appropriate placement for a student.
About this Event
New policies have prompted many schools to reconsider out-of-district placements in favor of local public programs that may be of inferior quality. Additionally, many students who could excel in inclusive educational environments with some support are put in self-contained classrooms simply because of their diagnosis. In this 90-minute workshop, parents will learn how placement decisions are made and how you should respond to when a District attempts to change your child’s placement, or refuses to move your child out of a placement that is inappropriate. This 90-minute presentation includes a Q&A for attendees.
This workshop will be presented by the attorneys at Hinkle, Fingles, Prior & Fischer, P.C. They have over 70 years of combined experience providing specialized legal services to families of children and adults with a wide range of disabilities, and seniors. We have argued many of the precedent setting cases affecting individuals with disabilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
*The attorneys will be offering free advice so please come with any questions that you may have!*
