ADOS Training
February 21, 2019  —  February 22, 2019
Feb 21, 2019 at 8 AM to Feb 22, 2019 at 4 PM EST

The ADOS-2 has become the standard instrument for assessing autism spectrum disorders (ASD) across age, developmental level, and language skills. Virginia Treatment Center for Children offers training on the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) to help assess and diagnose ASD. This workshop will provide detailed, initial training for people who plan to use the ADOS-2 in clinical or school settings.

These trainings are appropriate for psychologists, pediatricians, behavioral specialists, speech language pathologists, and any related professionals who regularly assess children with ASD or developmental disabilities.

Through instruction, discussion, and live/video demonstrations, attendees will:

  • Learn how to administer the ADOS-2 Diagnostic Tools
  • Learn how to incorporate information gathered through ADOS-2 administration into a comprehensive ASD assessment.
  • Learn how to apply results to interventions and IEPs

Note: It is highly encouraged that each participant have access to an ADOS-2 manual and have reviewed the manual prior to training. It is recommended that each participant have their own manual. Manuals can be purchased directly from Western Psychological Publishers www.wpspublish.com
